I wouldn’t consider myself a hard person to shop for.
Those closest to me, know my likes and dislikes. They like to pick out gifts they know I’ll like.
I feel that’s an important aspect to keep in mind when shopping. Pick out a gift that the other person will like.
Many times, we end up getting gifts we dread.
Hands up. How many of you have ever received a gift you didn’t like?
I’ve received a few gifts that I didn’t like, however a majority of the time it’s gifts that I love.
So what’s the best gift I received?
It’s hard to narrow it down to just one, so I’ll share with you a couple of my favorites.
I’m an avid reader so the number one gift on my list is books or Amazon gift cards. We don’t have any bookstores in my town, so I do my book shopping online.
My brother, John, knows how much I love books and every year he gives me an Amazon gift card.
My mom, she also loves to give me books for Christmas. Although, she lets me pick them out so I already know what I’m getting, but still it’s the thought that counts.
I mentioned in a previous post that I collect angel figurines. I have a huge collection of hundreds of the figures.
For Christmas and my birthday, my mom usually gives me an angel figurine to add to my ever growing collection.
I have a variety of figurines in my collections. Big, small, Precious Moments ,and even Hallmark figurines. Each one is different and holds special meaning.
My mom she loves to include surprises in her gift giving. One year for Christmas, she gave me a charm bracelet. The one with the sliding charms. Every year since then, she’s given me a charm to add to the bracelet. One of my favorite charms is an open heart angel from Kay’s.
I loved the charms and was thinking of buying one. But I kept putting it off. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the box out of my stocking on Christmas morning.
These are some of the best gifts I ever received.
