What I didn’t like about English class?
I did pretty well in English class during school, although I did have my moments where some of the work got tough.
The one thing I didn’t like about English class was writing research papers.
I could do well with stories, essays, and book reports. But as for research papers, those weren’t my forte.
The main reason I didn’t like research papers is because the teacher usually made them too long. Most of the time, they wanted it to be anywhere from 5-10 pages in length. So whenever I came up short in my paper, I was trying to figure out a way to add on extra details I could reach the minimum page requirement.
Another reason I didn’t like research papers is because of the citation. That always seemed to confuse me because there were different ways to cite sources and I didn’t know which one to choose. But as I got older, I learned more about citation styles and I was able to use them like a pro.
Even though I mastered the art of citation, I’m glad I never have to write another research paper again.
From now on the only writing I’m doing is books.
