Reflection

When I think of the word ‘reflection’ I think of a moment of contemplation.

We all take time out of lives to reflect on all that’s going on.

With me, I like to reflect during the evening as I write in my journal. Whether I’ve had a productive day or one of those lazy days, I make it a priority to write my reflections. I always make sure to write the day’s highlights. For instance, I talk about the tasks I completed, who I met or talked to, and my feelings on the day I had.

Another time I like to reflect is on New Year’s Eve. I think about all that happened the past year, both the good and the bad.  For me, the past few years have been filled with plenty of ups and downs.  Needless to say, I’ve had a lot to think about.

To me, reflection is therapeutic.

It gives you a chance to reflect on who you are as a person. By reflecting, you get a sense of how you’ve grown into the person you are. You can think about the goals you accomplished along with your dreams for the future. If there are areas of your life you’re unhappy with, you can think of ways to better yourself.

Reflection can do a lot for you. That’s why I encourage everyone to take time out of their day for a moment of reflection.
