My Best Holiday

Welcome Everyone to another week of Authors Blog Challenge.

Today’s topic is about my best holiday.

One of my favorite holidays is Christmas. During that time I like to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the holiday.

Although sometimes it can be hard, due to certain relatives stressing me out over what they need to buy or cook for dinner. In the past, we my dad’s side of the family got together, there’d always be an argument that ensued.

Let’s just say, there’s never a dull moment in this family.

But I’m happy to report that in recent years, things have mellowed out.

It’s hard to choose a specific best holiday. At Christmas time, we have our usual routine.

It starts off when we wake up around 8 or 9 in the morning. My mom cooks breakfast, which consists of bacon, eggs, and toast.

After we finish eating, we exchange gifts, which only take a couple of minutes. Then we settle in to watch A Christmas Story or one of our other favorite holiday shows.

Later in the afternoon, we head down to my grandma’s. Again we exchange gifts and help cook food for the Christmas party.

At around six o’clock, we go to my uncle’s house where we host the family Christmas party. Everyone snacks on appetizers and catches up. Then we end up capping off the night with a fireworks show.
