For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get active with blogging. I’ve joined a couple of blogging challenges in hopes of increasing my participation. I’m now participating in a new challenge called A.K.’s 30 Day Writing Challenge. Each day, I’m hoping to write a new post and keep up with the challenge.
Today begins day 1 of the #AKwritingChallenge and today’s topic is my proudest moment.
There’s been lots of proud moments throughout my life. But I have to say, one of my proudest moments would be publishing my first book.
When I began my writing journey, I was nervous. As a newbie, I didn’t know what to expect.
Would anybody like my book?
Would it get published?
Is this a waste of my time?
What happens if nobody wants it?
Those were some of the questions going through my head during the writing process.
As I mentioned in previous posts, I was met with a lot of rejection early in my career. I was wondering if I should quit.
But I kept pressing on, there was no way I was going to give up at this stage in the game.
After a while, my luck turned around when I received a contract with Romance Divine. Six months after signing with them, Going Home Again was published.
It was a proud moment for me seeing my book come to life. After months of hard work, having your book published is the greatest feeling in the world. To me, it proved that all my perseverance paid off and that if you stick with it, your dreams can come true.
