Today’s topic is one that I love.
As I’ve talked about in previous posts, music is a big inspiration with writing. It helps jolt my creativity.
So what kind of music do I like?
With me, I’m kind of old-fashioned. I prefer music from the earlier decades. Today’s songs just don’t cut it for me.
I mostly listen to rock music, although I do occasionally listen to country, pop, and alternative.
The Eagles are my number 1 favorite band. Every one of their songs I love. I owe my parents for turning me on to the band. In fact, my family had a huge influence in my musical choices.
Other rock bands/artists that I like include: The Cult, Aerosmith, The Scorpions, Ted Nugent, Eric Clapton, Boston, and Foreigner.
As for other types of music I listen to. Let’s just say you’ll find an eclectic group of artists. A few of the artists you’ll find include: Duran, Duran, Matchbox Twenty, Carrie Underwood, and Sarah McLachlan.
I could go on and on about my favorite artists, but that would take all day.
I know my music collections may seem weird, but that’s the best thing about music. Each artists has a style that makes their songs stick out. By listening to the lyrics and the rhythm, there’s something that speaks to you. Music is a big inspiration to me when it comes to writing. Whenever I need a pick me up, I’ll switch on YouTube or put in my earbuds for my favorite tunes.
